dvd+r look like a blank dvd why?

my writen dvd+r media i have already burn on same machine seen as a blank dvd why????
my machine: Machine Name: Power Mac G5, Machine model: PowerMac11,2, CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (1.0), Number Of CPUs: 2, CPU Speed: 2 GHz, L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB
Memory: 1.5 GB
Here's my burner: HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4165B: Firmware Revision: C006 Interconnect: ATAPI Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipped/Supported) Cache: 2048 KB Reads DVD: Yes CD-Write: -R, -RW DVD-Write: -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL Burn Underrun Protection CD: Yes
 
You have either:
tried a disk that you thought was burned, but is actually not burned yet.
or, your burn was not completed, somehow.
or, the DVD is defective
or, your burner is not working properly.

Does it read other disks that you have already burned on this Mac in the past?
Does it read ANY dvd of any type?
Have you tried burning to another brand of DVD-R?
