DVD-RAM Media in DVD-RAM drive

I've got a G4/500 (AGP Graphix) with a factory DVD-RAM drive. The drive recognizes CD-ROMs and CD-A's, but doesn't seem to recognize DVD-RAM Type I's (the double-sided ones that come in the cartridges). I haven't tried a DVD-ROM yet, but since there's no player in OS X PB, there doesn't seem to be a point.

Has anyone gotten OS X PB to recognize a DVD-RAM cartridge yet?
 
Hi,

In the documentation that comes with osx it states that ONLY cd media is suported.

Search for "DVD PLAYER WORK" in late breaking news, then read disc compatability
