DVD tray blocked

I just installed a internal Pionner DVD dual burner DVR-111D on my 3 yr old G5, and when I hit the open button on my keyboard I can hear the tray trying to open but it seems I did not install correctly. What do I do wrong?

i know this sounds dumb, but did you remove all the packing / tape?

The most common reason is that the front plate on the tray
is still on. And it won't fit through the drive-bay opening.

Take the drive out and remove the front plate.

Is the front plate you're talking about the shield that drops down when you hit the eject button?

On the drive, not the PowerMac. Take the frontplate off the _drive_.
