DVD-Video Audio Ripper (AC3)

I have a program on my PC that will rip a chapter from a DVD (Smartripper) then I can use another program (DVD2AVI) that will 'demux' the audio track, that is, take the audio out of the chapter and put it into a 5.1 channel .AC3 file. From there I can import it into A-Pack and do whatever I want with all 6 channels. Anyone know of any replacements for Smartripper and DVD2AVI that do the same thing for Mac?

I'm not sure about the 5.1 surround sound conversion but try this.

Get 0SEx 0.0110a1. This app can extract entire titles or particular chapters. It can also extract them in VOB files or in individual MV2 and AC3 files.

To do what you've described open 0SEx then click the " Ti" and "Ch" buttons and choose what title and chapters you want to rip; title 01 and all the chapters in it will be selected by default. " Next, click the "Fmt" button and select "Elem. Streams". Then click the "Vid" button and take all the check marks off the video streams. Then Click the "Aud" button and take the checks off of the audio streams you don't want. And finally, click begin.

That sould do it.;)
