e-mail client that does encrypted e-mail

Is there an e-mail client for a Mac G4 operating under 10.2.6 that can encrypt e mail. I have a client that wants to use a digital certificate from Verisign. Is there a way short of using a Windows box?

I don't know of a solution that uses Verisign, but for $80 you can get PGP Desktop for OS X. Haven't used it myself, but it claims to interface with Mail.app and Entourage X.

PGP is supposed to be quite good - it gives the FBI fits.

You can use macgpg with most email clients, including mail of OS X.

To start, have a look on the infos, and get the last quarterly package (winter 2003?), that has all you need.

THe free, open source version of PGP is called GnuPG. Works the same if not better than PGP (less flab). There is a plugin for Mail.app that works great with GnuPG (aka gpg).

Install GnuPGP via pkgs from GnuPG site or via Fink. Can use old PGP keyrings too.
