EFI update, usb hub not working

After the update the mac is not recognising the usb hub that i have. my keyboard is connected to the hub, and it was working perfectly before the update.
also to note is that i can use the hub once i replug it in...
 
Are you sure that the hub is plugged into a powered USB port, or has a power supply plugged in?
