Ejecting a Network

I'm not sure whether this is a problem or not. But next to the network icon in my finder, there is always an eject icon, if I press it, nothing happens.

I'm not connected to a network, when I click on the network Icon, I then see 'servers', then my own computer.

Like I say, maybe it's meant to be like that, but I'm sure it wasn't there before!

90% of the time I have the eject button next to my network icon on the sidebar. The other times I don't. Don't ask me why.
