My precious eMac won't start from cold. The only way I can get it to go is through muliple reiterations of:
1. Reset the PMU
2. Reset the PRAM
3. Reset the Power Reset
Eventually it goes. Once it's running, everything is fine. I just cannot turn it off.
I've tried:
1. Reinstalling the system from the disk
2. Replacing the battery
3. Reparing the disk no issues found
Tonight I tried repairing the Disk Permissions. Several things were corrected. This might help, however I'm not confident that it will.
Any other ideas to try?
How can I best determine whether it is a disk error of a logic board?
