In 2005, brandon.macuser posted a problem with his eMac having trouble starting up (having to press really hard on the power button, several times). Delta.Mac suggested that he test his internal battery.
I have the same problem with my eMac and would love it if the battery was the culprit (very easy to fix that!). Before I take it to the shop and possibly spend lots of money, I want to know if brandon.macuser solved his problem. (Was it just the battery or did he have to replace the power switch mechanism?)
