the only thing the $1700 has that this doesn't is 512mb ram and a swivel stand.
this seems like a pretty darn good deal, all things considering. it's pretty much the exact same setup as the 15" imac for about $300 less.

it's great. now gimme an external SuperDrive by Apple, supported by iDVD and DVD Studio Pro? I don't want to buy an extra iMac or eMac only to be able to do what Apple 'promises' (I know they never promised me that for my TiBook). I want to backup on DVD-RW, want to create DVDs. Shouldn't be too hard, should it?
