Okay, here's the story: How can I get imac and iphone to download the one message, and still keep the messages on the server for the three different email accounts?
When the imac and iphone synch together, those duplicate emails are duplicated again because they are seen as unique emails when they aren't.
When send/receive is hit again on both devices, all duplicate emails are downloaded again, as if they were new mail; adding to the original and duplicates already received.
Duplicate emails go to the iMac when it checks mail. Duplicate emails go to iPhone when it checks mail instead of them being synchronized.
User has delete emails when read turned off at both imac and iphone.
User has iphone and an iMac and three email accounts. Email accounts are on abilitymail (company name) POP and also exchange servers.
User is on latest Leopard install on iMac, latest update on iPhone. These are new purchases.
I think the imac and iphone aren't forming the header to know which server the message came from and thus aren't recognizing the message id in order to see it as a unique message.
