Entourage 2008 and public folder

I have MacPro connected to an Exchange server 2003. We use Office 2008.

General I have no trouble with my e-mails etc., but when it comes to our public calender its another case.

If I shut down my Mac, maybe because of an update, it can take 2 to 3 hours before I can see our public calendar. Why doesn't it just look at the calender without making a sync?

Is it possible to keep a copy on the Mac, so it's only the the changes there have to be sync, just as the mails?

Any suggestions?

Every installation of Exchange is different. You need to address this question to your IT department.

Try subscribing to it then it appears to retain some data locally.
