I'm using Entourage 2004 to send and receive e-mail through my Yahoo and Gmail POP accounts. I have a fiber optic line coming directly into my home through Qwest, which provides exceptional download speeds. I connect my MacBook Pro to the internet via a wireless router.
It seems that whenever I try to send an e-mail of anything over a few KB in size, I get the error message, "Connection to the server failed or was dropped." It's like it gets halfway through sending the message, and then fails. Sometimes even smaller messages might take a couple of tries to get through, and then ultimately they send OK.
I have routinely sent files of several MB via e-mail on my PC laptop using this same router, so I'm at a loss as to what the problem is.
