Hello all, my name is Khayree. My question is. I have a website that sends emails directly to my entourage email app. My host changed my password and then changed it back to the previous or original password. Problem is I can no longer receive emails it keep asking for my password. When I enter the password it says user name and password don't match. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Khayree

Go to where your site is hosted and make a new password. That way you know you have the correct password. I never had that problem before. If it asks for your password, make sure you have it saved and mail server settings correct.

Thank you for your response to my question concerning my entourage email. I have contacted my host and triple checked the accuracy of my user name & password, after which I went into Entourage accounts/edit and put in the correct password/username. The problem started when my host changed my password, which I was aware of at the time to a new password. The new password didn't work and when we returned to the original password it hasn't worked either. I have also set up a brand new email account same as the original khayree@youngblackbrotha.com. and still I can not receive the mail from www.youngblackbrotha.com which is the source of my mail. Check this out, under account I put in smtp.sbcglobal.net as a result I send emails from the khayree@youngblackbrotha.com email account, but under pop.khayree@youngblackbrotha.com I cannot receive my email. Again any help is greatly appreciated. By the way I really admire the work and creativity on www.urbansory.com

Thanks again

so it's a pop account? I assume you have this setup in the pop settings not the smtp, there is a difference. All my mail is pop unless it is a hotmail account then it's smtp. If you have a site, then you should be able to set your own passwords. So which account is it? If they changed the password, it must be a smtp, because if it's pop, you have control over that and can log in and edit the your own account passwords for email and shell accounts.

Thanks for the compliment on the work, and you know who to holla at when you need some work for the label. Also, Nice site on your part.

Ok, wait, smtp should be

mail.youngblackbrotha.com

Unless your internet service provider limits outgoing mail for spam reason, then you will have to use them for outgoing. Sorry about that mix up. I was thinking about one of my IMAP email account, which hotmail is not.
