Entourage Error -23016 "Mail could not be sent"

I have made no changes to my Entourage settings, yet for the past 2 days i have been able to receive email, but not to send it. I have 2 identities on Entourage, each with an email address utilizing a different server, yet neither of them work for sending, only for receiving. HOWEVER, I am able to send and receive just fine with my 3rd email address on Thunderbird. I'm on a PB G3 running Panther. I've already tried rebooting. I've tried deleting the preference files that were most recently written to, like com.microsoft.Entourage.plist, Entourage Settings, Entourage Preferences, and Entourage Temp folder. That didn't help either. Also, I found the Entourage Errors page http://www.entourage.mvps.org/error/page.html, and have already confirmed that i have the SMTP server set to require authentication on both email addresses.

What else can I try?
