Entourage: Ghost emails that I cannot delete - AGRH!

I am checking my email from entourage. The account is an imap account. From time to time I get duplicate emails, ghost emails. I delete the email, but it only deletes one of the pair of emails, not both! So the original email is deleted but the duplicate (ghost) is not! Now only my computer can see this ghost email, when I log into Outlook web access the email is not there!

Other than trashing my email database, how can I get rid of these ghost emails? I tried pressing delete, I tried draggin to the trash, I tried pocking though entourage's internals....MS sucks

Rebuild the database? I think holding option down while starting Entourage will do this.
