Entourage unsubscribes INBOX subfolders

hi,

i am using entourage as my IMAP email client. i used it for more than 6 month now and never had big issues with it. now we changed our server. it requires to create all personal subfolders under INBOX. entourage doesn't seem to able to cope with this new situation/server (cyrus 2.0.16). whenever i subscribe these folders they disappear after a short period of time or after the next program start.
i tried it with apples mail programm and didn't have any problems. i just need entourage for all my other stuff and would like to keep it as my email client as well...

does anybody know what this phenomenon is and how to get rid of it???

thnx...

I've seen the same phenemenon myself with Entourage connecting against Cyrus IMAP. However, the interesting thing is that while my mailbox on that server keeps getting all its subfolders unsubscribed, my fiancee's mailbox on the same server *does not* have this behavior. I've hunted and hunted for what the difference is between the two configurations, but I'm completely stumped. I do have a lot more subfolders than she does though; that may or may not have anything to do with it.

i have excactly the same thing in my company. my college works with entourage and he has no problems at all. he is the only one thou. everybody else has the same problem that i have. in some cases it collapse every few minutes, other only see that once or twice a day. we tried the english and german version but nothing works better...

hi,

i solved my entourage problem. the folders that collapsed are now clean. i had to rebuilt my imap account from scratch! which means i created a second account.

then i created each and every folder/subfolder manually and copied all emails to the appropriated folder on the new account.

after this is done you can switch the accounts and delete the old one.

this really works, but it has to be done with entourage and NOT with Mail, the mac os x email client.
