epson c80 printer problems with jaguar

HELP> my printer stopped being recognized. So I deleted the driver and now I get an error when I try to reinstall the epson driver in jaguar 10.2.3

Any suggestions?

I have tried everything. I cant add a printer in osx either from the print center. I also ran norton diskdoctor and fixed all errors.

Move these files out of your Preferences folder

com.apple.print.custompresets.plist
com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist

and onto the desktop and restart the computer.

It's worth a try, but no guarantee it will help.
