Epson cx4800 Printer

my girlfriend has a mac laptop with osx and she cant get our new epson cx4800 printer installed on it. shes tries to add it manually, the computer wont recognize it, she tries to use the setup disk, the computer wont recognize that either. can any help, thanks!

The CX4800 does not have native drivers in OS X, so you must install the software, either from the included CD (which you already said does not seem to work) or download the correct driver from this page.

Download the v2.5aA if you have a Powerbook G4, or the v3.0aAs if you have a MacBook Pro. This will not get the scanner function to work, it will only help the printing.
Try the CD in another Mac. If it does not mount, then get the CD replaced by Epson.
