Hi everyone,

I'm having a bit of an argument with safari. I'e tried everything, but i can't fix this problem (it is a problem to me).

In the bar where you type the urls, how can i erase the previous ones.

I've tryed erasing history, cache, autofill other forms, reseting safari.. none worked.

(I'm talking about the ''Go to this address bar'')

Thanks

Download either Yasu or Onyx and run the cache cleaning routines. Once the program reboots your Mac manually reboot again to completely rebuild your startup/shutdown cache.

IMHO one should run these cleaning routines about once every three months to keep OS X running lean & clean.

For future reference, this HOWTO & FAQ section is for providing tutorials on how to do something or a FAQ providing information on something to those looking for solutions. It's not a section for asking how to do something. That's what the other sections are for. Check the stickies in this section for all the details.

It's possible that it's pulling up links from your bookmarks automatically. I know that Firefox does this even after I've cleared everything out just as a convenience for me not to have to type the entire address or to have to go into my Bookmarks menu (which mine is quite extensive). Try resetting Safari and then check to see if the links that show up are the ones that you have bookmarked. If so, then it might just be doing that for you as a convenience.
