Error when trying to upgrade 10.4 to 10.5

I have a macbook with an intel 2GHz core duo processor that came with tiger installed.

I got the installation DVDs for the 10.5 and I'm trying to install it but it tells me that it cannot be installed on my computer.

I googled it and as far as I could see all the solutions around (open firmware and leopard assist) are trying to solve the problem for a G4 by faking the clock, but as I said I have an intel processor and the clock speed is much above the minimum for the G4.

Any advice?

Thanks :)

If you are trying to use a set of grey DVDs for that upgrade, that won't work. Those grey disks came with another Mac model, maybe even another MacBook. They won't install on older models, even if it seems to be the same MacBook. You will need to purchase the retail Leopard installer, which is a black DVD.
