Errors With Backup V3 And Tiger

I'm trying to backup my "Home" directory to an external LACIE 80GB USB HDD using Backup V3. I have tried over 10 times and always get the same error message: "Failed to eject backup volume". Then the backup stops and the message "backup failed" is displayed. Free space is about 55 GB, the backup size is around 30 GB.

I used the same directory on the external HDD in 10.3.x and it worked without a hitch. After getting Tiger it no longer worked.

(12 inch powerbook G4 1.3 GHz, 1.25GB RAM, 60 GB HDD)

A google search does not yield any relevant info.

I am using Backup 3 with a Maxtor 250GB external drive, and have seen no problems at all. However, I can't get Backup 3 to copy my iPhoto library to DVD - It fails every time.

I know this doesn't help you, but I was hopeing someone could answer both problems
