Excel File Will Not Allow Me To Copy

I am working on an excel file however it does not allow me to copy form one worksheet to another (in the same workbook), its keeps giving me an error saying 'not enough memory".

I do not understand as I have 173GB space free on my macbook. Please assist.

It very well could be your RAM. How many other things are open?
Try: Save, restart, then try to copy.
Always a good thing to max out RAM--it's fairly cheap.
