explorer not exploring

Yo experts! Having upgraded to OSX a few whiles ago, I find that Explorer, which worked for a while, now either works (not very often) or takes forever to log on, or fails altogether to log on (wheel keeps spinning, then eventually I have to force quit). AOL, entourage work fine (all via Verizon). Any suggestions?

Are you talking Microsoft Internet Explorer? If so, I'm surprised you can even find it - MSFT dropped all support and development for IE on Mac years ago.

Given the rate at which security vulnerabilities are found in IE, and the fact that IE for OS X will have a couple of years' backlog of them, I'd recommend using a browser that still gets updates...
 
I would recommend using an up-to-date browser as well, such as:
Opera
Firefox
Safari
Camino
Mozilla

If you need explorer, for some odd reason, try a re-install.
