I have finally upgraded to OS X! Installed 10.4 Tiger on one of two new hard drives and booted up OSX iTunes version 6.x, then successfully transferred all my music files from my OS 9 drive to the new drive and version of iTunes.
All the tunes show up in the iTunes 6.x library--aside from about 50 that for some reason showed up with the titles printed in Chinese! Thats problem #1. But the bigger problem is that I cannot figure out how to export my playlists--about 100 of them--from iTunes 2.03 on the OS9 drive over to iTunes 6.x on the new OS X drive.
The iTunes 6.x help says I can import xml format playlists. But the version 2.03 export command will only export them in something called the .export format--which the 6.x version apparently will not recognize.
So is there any way to get these playlists transferred, aside from laboriously reassembling every one of them?
I am SO grateful for any help you can give me!
