Exporting Thunderbird (PC) emails to Entourage (Mac)

Hello, I have just bought a Mac, and am not too familiar with it yet.

I have all my old emails on my PC on Thunderbird and would like to transfer them to Entourage on my Mac.

I have tried to follow the help section on Entourage (http://www.entourage.mvps.org/accounts/thunderbird.html) but I cant work out how to do it. I havent even got past number 1 on the list which reads:

1 # Locate the Thunderbird folders you want to import. They live in

~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/default.bb1/Mail/Local Folders/

Please can anyone offer me any more 'simple' help.

The location of Thunderbird files on a Mac (which is the instructions that you seem to have) are no help with Thunderbird files on a PC. SO, you would need instructions to export those files from Thunderbird in Windows.
That being said - why not just use Thunderbird on your Mac, too?

Alternatively, before you get into using Entourage, have you considered using Mail?, which came with your Mac. You'll still need to export the Thunderbird mailboxes and transfer the resulting files to your Mac to import them into whichever email application you choose to use.
