.ext not showing up in exported movies

Hello,

This will not end my world but I was wondering why, despite not having checked 'hide extension' when exporting movies from FCP 5, the movie appears without its extension? Did I check something accidentally somewhere, and how do I uncheck?

In the preferences for the Finder, under "Advanced," is "Show all file extensions" checked or unchecked?
