HI
I just got my first mac, PPC G5 2.5 w/8 Gig ddr3300 2 350 gig drives in it. I am looking to connect my linux drive to this machine, and copy all of my files.
I dont care if it eventually needs to be reformated I NEED my data. The catch is, the linux os on it is completly trashed. not bootable.
Osx (10.5.x) will see the drive but i cannot mount it. I have seen threads about some people using some app to mount it, but i cannot tell if its even installed, nevermind use it.
Ubuntu live cd will read the mac drive but i cannot write to it because I do not have permissions and cannot chown the drive because I am on live cd.
Is There some way I can get a step by step of mounting this drive?
Or possably a garenteed way for reformating a portion of the drive and copying the data to that?
If I have Loose this data I will def jump off a bridge.
Thanks in advance..
