Extending Lynksis Wireless with Airport Express?

Is it possible to use an Airport Express to extend a wireless network, I guess it's called a network node). I currently have a Lynksys wireless VOIP router and would like to extend that wireless network another flight up. Airport admin utility couldn't see the airport when plugged in.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

This depends on how you want to extend the wireless network.

You can extend your network by connecting the Airport to the Linksys via an ethernet cable. As long as you configure the Airport to use the same network name and subnet as the linksys, and work like an access point (disable dhcp), you will be able to wirelessly roam from one section of the network to the other.

However, if you are looking for a completely wireless method (such as signal repeating) you won't be able to achieve that.
