I have a external CD Burner for my G4 . . . Yamaha 8x burner. It is SCSI connection and is hooked up to my 400 Mhz G4. I just upgraded to OSX and now toast will not find the burner both in Classic and in OSX.

I downloaded the new toast for X and it is not finding the scanner either.

I am wondering if OSX is having problems with SCSI cards and reading them. Does anyone know what I can do or have any info for me. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

That is the version I installed. . . I even updated everythig that needed to be. Anyone else have any ideas?

Did you reinstall a newer version of the drivers after installing OSX?

I managed to revive an old Ricoh 2600RS (or something like that) which was connected to an Adaptec 2930U by updating to 10.1.3. Didn't install Adaptec drivers from the start but everything worked fine.

Disk Copy sees the burner but iTunes doesn't; or do you have to have a blank in the drive before iTunes will recognize the drive?

Cheers.
