External HD wireless backup

Hey everyone,

I'm not exactly a networking expert when it comes to computers so I wanted to see if this would be possible. I wanted to buy an external HD to back my stuff up to it, but how would I be able to do that wirelessly? I know I would have to buy some kind of wireless router (would an Airport Express or Airport Extreme work?) but I would not know the first thing to look for when buying one.

SO any ideas?
