External Lacie DVD burner

I own a mac mini and i purchased an external dvd burner. When i first hooked it up it worked, after disconnecting then moving it, i tried hooking it back up and now it doesnt work. i searched for drivers but nothing. is there something im missing?
 
Disconnect the drive the on the Mini Reset Your PRAM and then connect the drive again. Once a external is mounted you have to dismount them (dragging the icon to the Trash can and it turns into an Eject symbol) before disconnecting. That is the BSD Unix underpinnings way of OS X.
