extract plist

extract plist-I want to save my emails and attachments from Applemail;
and use the information in Thunderbird mail and Address book.
how do I extract the plist from those libraries and reuse.
I cannot import or export the info?

You don't want the plist files (those are simply preference files, not actual emails).

Thunderbird will import mail items from Mail.app directly, if I remember correctly... use the File > Import function.

As for Address Book entries, you can export your contacts from Address Book into vcard format, then import the vcards directly into Thunderbird.
