In Excel, it is possible to create a trend line when given a set of data. This is done automatically by Excel, using either linear regression, or a polynomial fit. Which is all nice and good.
What I would like to do, is would it be possible to extract the information about the trend line, i.e. the slope and y-intercept for the linear regression, and the polynomials for the polynomial fit? Admittedly, it is a more complex question, and I haven't been able to find the answer.
