F-lock: does it have a function in OS X?

My new Micrsoft 4000 ergo keyboard has this F-lock key. I haven't been able to get a manual for this OEM keyboard yet. Even on the MS website.

I guess it does not. Maybe the Microsoft software for the keyboard lets you program the key to something?

I have a microsoft keyboard with f-lock, I think it disables or changes how the F keys work. I had to click the f-lock on so F12 would work as my eject button.

Yes - it would appear it needs to be on if any F-type shortcuts will work. Thanks.
