F14 and F15 Display Function Keys

Currently, when one presses F14 or F15 (on an Apple Pro Keyboard) they darken or lighten the screen. I want to change them so that in Keyboard Maestro they control iTunes. However, Keyboard Maestro won't let me use F14 and 15 because they are in use. How does one disable the F14/15 screen function? thanks
 
In MaxMenus in the HotKeys section I got F14 and F15 new functions to stick (opening selected folders). Perhaps you could try this app instead.
 
I had a bit of trouble for the F14 and F15 keys to work as I wanted at first. I put them on the HotKey list in MaxMenus by using a combination with another key, for ex F14 and Command. Then with that working I changed the combination back to only F14 (without the Command key). You can do that directly in a MaxMenu menu, if you put the object there. Somehow system preferences get overridden by MM, and the shortcuts started working.
I have got this to work on my G4 450MP and G4 733, both with 10,1,5.
(Sometimes banging on the keyboard and cursing works for me too).
