Hi. I'm a unix newcomer who has been trying to install GOPchop on an iBook G4 running OS 10.3.8. I recently picked up the Visual Quickpro guide on Unix for Mac, and I finally gained some traction by following these instructions:
(1) sudo -s (followed by password)
(2) mkdir -p /usr/local/src/gopchop
(3) cd /usr/local/src/gopchop
(4) wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gopchop/GOPchop-1.0.0.tar.gz
(5) tar xfvz GOPchop-1.0.0.tar.gz
(6) cd GOPchop-1.0.0
The trouble started when I entered the ./configure command. Here's the output:
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... no
checking for mawk... no
checking for nawk... no
checking for awk... awk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking for perl... /usr/bin/perl
configure: error: XML:arser perl module is required for intltool
How can I fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
