Hello,
I'm new to this forum. After 10/5 years of owning/using macs (don't get me wrong, I'm no expert) I've never felt the need to post a question on a forum. But now I'm just stuck!
The subject of the thread says it all.
Unfortunately, it was quite a while ago that I noticed that it didn't mount my digital camera through the usual USB connection on the keyboard. Tried it round the back of the mac - still no joy. Only recently have I discovered that the mp3 player doesn't mount through the USB. The CD/DVD writer doesn't fire up toast as usual - that's through the firewire. And normal CDs through the built-in CD drive don't mount onto the desktop. I've even tried a USB memory stick - it gave the correct message that there wasn't enough power on the keyboard USB but still no go through the mac USB either!
So no USB external works - but the keyboard and mouse are fine.
I'm running 10.2.8 on a grey G4. Everything else has been working like a dream.
Please, if anyone's got any questions or solutions, fire away!
Best regards,
Robert
