Fan runs louder since last OSX software updates.

This is probably just a coincidence, but since I downloaded the last OSX software critical update, the fan on my 1.25 G4 17" flat screen seems to run a lot louder and longer than before.....and I thought I saw a thread about this a few weeks ago.......Any thoughts? Thanks. Dean M
