Fasterfox: Prefetching

I have the prefetching option selected in Fasterfox. Does this mean that I don't have to wait for Web pages to load fully before I click on a link or item on the page? Clicking on such while the page is still loading won't harm my computer, will it?

That should be fine with or without prefetching.

Prefetching just downloads links in the background while idle so that if you click on them later, it'll already have the data ready for you. Personally I always just command-click the links I'm interested in and let them load in background tabs.
