I broke down and bought a 15" MBP a couple of weeks ago when my 12" PB died. I have noticed that anytime I use the DVD drive (too install software, burn a cd, watch a dvd) it then won't recognize any other dvd's until I reboot the machine. Matter of fact it doesn't respond at all and I can't eject the second disc I put in. I'm running 10.4.6 and have the latest firmware. Anyone else have this issue? Is it a hardware issue or software?

I'd take it into the Apple Store and let them know what's up. It could be a number of things, but one thing's for sure, you brand new MacBook Pro should not be having these kinds of problems.
Opinion time: I think Apple has really started a trend of lax quality standards in their overseas factories. Kinda disappointing
