Anybody have a favorite IRC client that runs under OSX? I have a strong preference for things that are free. :)

Thanks in advance,

Whatever you do, stay FAR AWAY from JediKnight...first thing it did was giving my password out publicly to a chatroom of 15 ppl... I use the same password eveywhere so I had to change them all that day.
I like Ircle, but it's shareware...babbelirc.com is making something, I think...then there's IRCStep wich sucks...go for Ircle

i have a strong love for Snak after using ircle for awhile.

ircle just seems so unnecessarily complicated after using snak.

I like JediKnight, with its uncomplicated aqua interface. And, it's freeware.

Voice: Can you tell me how you gave the password to everyone? (So it doesn't happen to me too;) )

Snak is the best GUI based IRC client for Mac OS 9 or X.

Kent does a great job fixing bugs and adding new features. You can download a full featured trial version here: http://www.snak.com

bitchx rules.. however I have had problems with termcap, and ended up just installing ncurses! I suggest doing this, there is a great guide at macosx.org (search for bitchx)

good luck
