Is it actually possible to take some things out of a poll and change it?
Ferdinand

PS: Yeah, I see why you would choose Mail, but right now I dont like it. Something is broken in mine, so thats crap.

So where's QuarkXPress? And Photoshop?

Out of the (not very representative) list of apps above, I guess iTunes would have to be it, as I use it all day everyday.

Well, the only one of that list that I actually use is iTunes, so...yeah. See my sig for some third-party favorites of mine.

Of Apple's programs, I think QuickTime Player is my favorite. Its features, elegance, ease of use and flexibility are simply unparalleled.

QT Player sadly doesn't allow for the seamless aspect-ratio features seen in Tiger's DVD Player. I'd veeeeery much like that feature to work in QT Player as well. Otherwise, I agree.

Hm. That's screaming rather than swearing. And while I don't appreciate people screaming, I think it _was_ meant as a joke. ;) ... Hm. So... What exactly is the purpose of this thread? Really just to show that of some sort of random selection, iTunes is the preferred app?

Errrr… I was doing the screaming (although it was intended as an expression of extreme shock), whereas, by saying the "InD" word, it was Esquilinho that was swearing!

It's CaptainQUARK, not Ensign InDesign! ;)

Nono, it's caps lock that's usually viewed as screaming. You know, as in: WHAT?! YOU TALKING TO ME?! See. Like screaming. :) I like "ensign InDesign". Would make a nice job title in one of those groovy design houses. ;)

I like InDesign, but most GD's I have ever met prefer Quark (who, curiously, still hang on to Mac OS 9).

I look at it this way: InDesign makes _sense_. Even for new users. Quark doesn't. Of course, if you're used to how XPress works, learning a new version is not _that_ difficult. But I'd say while ID wasn't the Quark-Killer it was discussed it would be, it certainly has a much better chance at it than PageMaker ever had. I think Adobe did very good to start with a clean slate back then. And ID is becoming better and better.
