file names invisible!

the problem first occured in dreamweaver mx - in the site panel window, only the icons of the files showed, not their names. You could click where the names should be, and they showed up in a yellowish box.

Then I notice the same thing in the finder, in the search results window - no file names, only icons.

I've run disk warrior and Nortons antivirus a number of times (and reinstalled Dreamweaver and deleted any recently installed software, but no success. I'm running 10.2.6.

Can anyone help??

You could try changing the background color or picture of your windows, in case your text is showing up as white...
 
thanks, but I suspect this isnt the problem. When the results FIRST show up in the search results window, they appear as normal - if I click on them, the file names disappear and dont return...
