Filemaker 4 in OS X Classic Mode

I have a Filemaker database being served out on my network via Filemaker Server 3 that I want to access using Filemaker 4.1 (this is how I access the database from my OS 9.2.2 machines). I'm running a PowerBook G4 - OS 10.4.11. Filemaker 4 will only run in Classic Mode. In Classic, when I launch Filemaker 4, I then click on the Hosts button in the Open dialog box. I get an error message saying that I must select TCP/IP for the Network Protocol in Filemaker Preferences. Here's the problem - the only Preferences option that is available is
 
In the Preferences...Application dialog, the only Network Protocol option is "None." Therefore, I can't connect via TCP/IP. Therefore I can't open a hosted database on a machine running Classic under OS X. Any workarounds?
