Dear MacOSX,
I recently turned on File Vault on my computer and after trying everything I could to turn it off (I followed your instructions to do this but to no avail) I decided to backup all my files and then re-install the operating system and all my software.
I have managed to successfully put back my documents but I have not been able to re-install my Thunder Bird email files (I am now using Entourage). I am also having a massive issue with re-importing my iPhoto pictures as it is not recognising the files. I am also having massive issues with my Mac recognising the DVD and in fact I am having to transfer the files to my PC and then re-copying to my Mac.
Help!! I need all my old email files and I would like my old photographs.
