Film Scanner

I'm looking into the possibility of buying an inexpensive film scanner. What are the best film scanners under $600? I will use it primarily for scanning 35mm negatives.

Requirements:
OS X compatable -- at least with VueScan.
SCSI, USB, or Firewire interface.
2700dpi or better

MacWarehouse.com has some great hp scanners for $500 and under. I just bought a great one that scans negatives for under $375. Can't remember the model number, though--oops!
