I just ordered the latest universal version of Final Cut Studio Pro to upgrade from final cut 4.5 HD so that my video editing will go smoother. I have the last 15" Powerbook G4 (1.67 GHz G4, 1GB of RAM, 128MB of VRAM, 80 GB HDD, and an 8x double layer Superdrive) I know all of the Pro applications will run fine on this machine so that is not the problem.
I also, however, have an upgraded Powerbook G3 Pismo which is now a 550 MHz G4 with 1GB of RAM, a 100 GB HDD, and an internal 8x double layer superdrive. I have gotten the latest version of Aperture to run on this model using a hack, and it runs very smooth. I was, however, curious as to whether I could get the Final Cut Studio Pro Apps to run on my pismo. I know very well that they would run extremely slow, but I am very patient and would only use it as a back up if my G4 Aluminum failed.
If anyone has the hack that I could use with hex editor to get these apps working on my Pismo, then I would appreciate it.
