Don't try to figure out what's causing it or you'll tear out all your hair. Just follow the appropriate troubleshooting steps for unexplained crashing, and don't forget to reboot:

- Disable 3rd party add-ons like FruitMenu, etc., and leastwise make sure you have the latest versions.

- Delete Finder and system preference files (~/Library/Preferences)

- Repair File and Folder Permissions (Disk Utility)

- Repair Disks (Disk Utility)

If all these things fail, reinstall the system and reapply upgrades. Good luck!

This kind of crash has happend during 3 seperate times of installed OSX 10.2

My conclusions of this is that it proberbly is HW-related.
But then again, what do I know ... and like you said, "Don't try to figure out what's causing it or you'll tear out all your hair."

I think it has something with RAM to do, "EXC_BAD_ACCESS"...

Hope somebody on this earth knows how to get something out of these logfiles
;)

It seems to be my swap-partition that causes all these problems.
I used SwapCop which some users said workes fine for 10.2.3 and some said it didn't.
I tried it and it said it moved my swap successfully!
But after reading up on what my crash.log really meant I found out that my comeputer was having trouble reading and writing data, and that was related to my moving of the swap. (that's what I think. I have moved the swap back and now it works perfect!)

In other words, either because of owner troubles (which it shouldn't be) or because of the HD going into sleep and finder trying to read from the swap, was causing my crashes. At least this is what I think, and god knows, I'm not an expert on this area :)

Just thought I should share what I have gathered from this experience.
