Finder dies after logon

I've OS X 10.2.2 on a G4 733. Without months of great performances yesterday I can't logon in my home becouse finder dies. I'm really in trouble !!!!
Please I ask the help of All of you to fix this problem

When i first time installed jaguar, i made a selective install. and the result was weird: no finder. finder didnt open at all. i didnt see even my desktop!! i couldnt open and see ANY application.

After 10 minutes of thinking, maybe less, i decided what would resolve it: INSTALL AGAIN jaguar. keeping the current data and programs.

I can't think of other solution; that sure will fix it. I hope you have 30 minutes to do it.
